WinterFest 2019: A cold one to remember
Despite below zero temperatures, WinterFest 2019 was still a great success!
Our 2nd Annual WinterFest took place on January 26th. The weather was not ideal to say the least, but did not stop anyone from having a great time.
Young’s was host to many activities throughout the day including free trail use and equipment rental, free swimming, cribbage, smear and cornhole tournaments, coloring contests and much more.
The outdoor activities we had planned did not go unattended. Many people utilized our trials and enjoyed both snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Kate Dehlin of Marquette, MI and her three-dog team provided kids with the thrill of becoming a dog sled musher for the day.
We were excited to offer fat tire bike demo rides as well. Thanks to Broken Spoke Bike Studio of Green Bay, WI and Benjamin Garcia of Iron River, we had five bikes available for guests to try throughout the day. Jason & John Manders of Trail Genius also guided guests on various rides on our trails and property. Keep an eye on our website as Jason is putting together a map for our all-new fat tire bike trails!
A steady flow of guests enjoyed the great food and beverages offered in the FireBrick Bar & Grill throughout the day. We unveiled our new Winter Lunch Menu, which was a big hit! Our NEW Winter Menu (including dinner) is now available as well, featuring over 15 new delicious soups, sandwiches, and entrees.
The party really got started at 6PM when “Sons of Legend,” a local favorite, took the stage and rocked the house all night.
Young’s would like to thank everyone who attended our WinterFest this year and would also like to thank all of our staff and volunteers who made this day possible. We sincerely hope all of our guests had as much fun as we did. We are already looking forward to next year!
