Last week Young’s hosted its first Wine Dinner with Bowers Harbor Vineyards. The evening featured an opening Hors D’oeuvre reception followed by a 4-course meal paired with signature wines from Bowers Harbor. An intimate event, guests were able to enjoy delicious food and drink while Young’s Executive Chef, Kevin Amelio and Bowers Harbor Operations Director, Kristy McClellan provided insightful commentary on the cuisine and wine pairings.
The menu for the night included light Hors D’oeuvres, Seared Foie Gras with Red Onion Confit, Strawberry and Apple Salad with apple chardonnay vinaigrette, Steak Diane with a wild mushroom cream sauce, dauphinoise potato & sautéed spinach, and for dessert a Pumpkin Spiced Crème Brûlée.
The wine pairings from Bowers Harbor included their Blanc de Blanc, Brix, Unwooded Chardonnay, Claret, and Late Harvest Riesling.
Guests were also able to purchase bottles of wine from Bowers Harbor. The exquisite dinner and wine pairings, wonderful company from our guests, and intimate and festive holiday setting made for a beautiful evening that can’t wait to host again in the future.
