George Young Recreational Complex Solicits Community Feedback

IRON RIVER, MI (October 17, 2017) Change is coming to the George Young Recreational Complex who is planning for a new future. Three advisory teams, composed of community leaders, are working together to develop new programming and an improved customer experience. In addition to the work of the advisers, the complex is seeking input from residents in the form of an online survey that will be open through the last week of October.

The survey can be found on the facility’s website, at www.georgeyoung.com and is receiving an overwhelming amount of positive response.

The complex, which features an 18-hole championship golf course, indoor pool, bar and miles of recreation trails, is committed to changing its reputation, which has suffered in recent years. The complex is currently in the process of planning for a new future, designed around the needs and wishes of its members and community. Interim Manager Jason Rivard, said, ͞We thank the community for participating in the survey. Most importantly, we want to thank you for your patience while we make this transition. We’re going to be more community and customer driven going forward.”

The complex’s goal is to provide world-class service and an expanded slate of recreational opportunities. The results of the community survey, together with the advisory boards’ planning process, will drive improvements. George Young will publicly keep the community posted on the planning process.
